J.A. Canny & Co. Solicitors were established in 1998 by the principal, Tony Canny.
The practice, located in Friary Street, Kilkenny is an all services general legal services solicitor's practice primarily serving clients in and around Kilkenny city and County and also beyond.
We endeavour to provide a bespoke and personal service with an emphasis on communication with our clients.
Tony qualified from University College Dublin with a B.C.L. law degree in and then commenced his solicitors professional apprenticeship in Kilkenny and qualified as a solicitor from the Law Society of Ireland, Blackhall Place, Dublin 7. Having gained invaluable experience in various assistant solicitor role's around the country, Tony started his own solicitor's practice in May 1998, from scratch and it has grown over the last 20 plus years to become one of the most prominent practice's in Kilkenny.
Tony originally from Kilkenny, is married with two children, and is servant to two dogs and a cat and lives in Cuffesgrange. His interests are varied, ranging from Kilkenny hurling and Leinster and Irish rugby to music, particularly guitar and the arts generally. He is former chairperson of Kilkenny Arts Festival. He has a keen interest in motorsports and is a volunteer and participant in car rallying and he is former two time Irish hillclimb and race champion for pre '55 motorcars.
